Adam Russell

Adam’s career focuses on the principles of regenerative design and permaculture. Broad adoption of these principles will help lead the down-shift to a post-carbon economy.
Adam is a registered architect in NSW and holds a passion for critical design practice and high-quality professional service. In addition to Partner at Saltbush Adam is Design Lead and housing researcher at the Living Labs Northern Rivers.
Adam has expertise as a designer and thought leader in affordable and alternative housing, public buildings urban design and sustainability. Adam also has extensive experience as a design critic, awards juror and assessment panel member in NSW working with industry bodies, universities and local government.
Adam has Think Resilience Certification at the Post Carbon Institute and is a Living Building Professional. In 2022 he awarded Permaculture Design and Educator qualifications by the Permaculture Education Institute.
Adam brings a legacy of project experience and knowledge to Saltbush through former leadership roles at Vim Design (Director), DRAW - DeManincor Russell Architecture Workshop (Partner and Principal), RAW Architects (Director) and RobertsDay (Principal).
